HALSTEAD ACADEMY 2.0

In lieu of Monday faculty meetings where professional development is offered in a whole group setting, teachers are able to choose from the list of offerings to determine their own course of professional learning.  Teachers are required to earn a minimum of 12 points within the school year.  The professional development opportunities range in point value based on the amount of time dedicated to each task.  After completing each task, teachers are required to complete and submit a reflection sheet to share their new learning and comment on the connection to their action research project.  Below is a visual representation of Halstead Academy's Professional Development Plan, which is structured in the Action Research Project format.  Click here for the Teacher Development Plan document.
